in Darra, 1 min from the Ipswich Hwy (giving easy
access to the Hwy's of the rest of Australia) BMI
engineering has been servicing the hydraulic industry
for the past 6 years. Directors brothers Maurice and
Robin Becker employ 11 staff members, including senior
staffmembers Dillon Ranson, Robert Briggs and Kelly
Althahs, our office manager. Our staff have varying
degrees of specialized skills from hydraulic engineering,
fitter turners, CAD designer, and specialized welding.
All this comes together to create a well-planned process
from strip down, documented assessment, repair and
remanufacture to assemble and test. This process has
evolved to ensure the best possible outcome and quality
assurance for our clients.
Our workshop is one of the most comprehensive in Australia,
with over 1000m2 of undercover work shop and a 5 ton
over head crane. There is also 1500m2 of open yard
with secure fencing, ensuring we have the capacity
for even the largest projects.
We have specialized automated equipment ranging from
65000ft./lbs nut buster, 12 mt strip down benches,
4 mt lathes, automated honing machine, hydraulic testing
equipment and fronius automated welding, just to name
a few. Many of our process are automated to ensure
the highest possible standard.

The
Nut Buster! Nut & Glands can remove and
tighten from a controlled 500ft.lbs of torque, right
up to an astounding 65000ft.lbs of torque
The only one in of this type in Australia. This high
powered nut buster couples onto both of our remotely
operated ridged strip down and assembly benches. It
enables a safe and efficient way to remove end nuts
and allows us to assemble the end nuts and glands
to the manufactures individual specifications. The
nut buster also helps to salvage damaged components
on large hydraulic cylinders safely. Click
